The 24th Connecticut Militia Regiment is composed of men, women, and families. The impressions that a person can portray when joining the unit are the following:
Musketman, Rifleman, Musicians and Campfollowers: which include Women, Children, Physicians, Artificers, Preachers, Blacksmiths, etc
The Unit has two levels of membership: The basic Recruit level and the Active level,
A Recruit is a person who has applied for membership in the Unit as a military or a civilian member.
An Active Member in the Unit are those who the
Executive Board has approved as having successfully completed their initial recruit status.
